We had a baby!

So something pretty AMAZING happened to us on March 18, 2017. We welcomed our little boy Finn Joseph into the world! This has been the craziest 2 months of our lives. Maternity leave is coming to an end and I will be back to work soon. How did other mommas out there handle their first day away from their new baby?

Here we go again!

Well, a lot has happened since the last time I posted!
We moved back to my hometown, Pensacola.

We got a dog.

We bought a house.

 We got pregnant!

In the next week or two I will probably be changing the name of this blog since it is no longer just the two of us. Trying my best to get back into the world of blogging so bare with me!

What I'm Watching

I am addicted to reality shows, it sucks and I hate watching them but I just can't look away! Poor hubs sits and watches them with me all while repeatedly asking why do I waste my time watching people fight?

1. Vanderpump Rules

" I don't know what I did to you, but I'll take a pinot grigio"

This may be my favorite show right now. I am so happy that Stassi wasn't the center of attention like she has been in the past. I have so many unanswered questions like..did Tom cheat on Arianna? I don't know who to believe. Also, why does Jax have to get tattoos of name and faces of the women he has been with?

2. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
Because I seriously wish Kyle Richards and I could trade places for a day! These ladies are crazy. Yolanda and Lisa Rinna are my faves this season. DO NOT talk about Lisa Rinnas hubby unless you want a wine glass thrown at your face. I use to really like Brandi because she said whatever was on her mind but now she comes off a little trashy..who slaps Lisa Vanderpump in the face anyways?

3. Shahs of Sunset
I pretty much only watch this show because of how funny Reza is.

When I am not watching reality tv, I am usually watching:

Walking Dead (DUH)
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (if you haven't seen an episode of this, you are missing out!)
American Horror Story (which I just attended an event where the cast was interviewed and Jessica Lange was not far from me eeeekkkkk)

What are you guys watching right now?

Remicade Infusions

After being diagnosed 3 years ago with Ulcerative Colitis and all the countless hospital admissions, I never thought I would hear myself say that I am in remission!

My doctor prescribed me medication after medication and nothing seemed to stop any of my symptoms. I was on Lialda and Asacol for what seems like forever. Lets not forget the dreaded Prednisone...ugh. Before being admitted this last time, I decided to switch to a different GI doctor. Thank goodness I did because he recommended for me to start Remicade.

I heard of Remicade prior to being on it and was very nervous because the side effects are just outrageous and it can cause other things to happen to you, but I was was willing to try anything at that point. The worst thing to do is start googling about the medication, I read so much about Remicade that I started to think I was making the wrong decision, that the med wasn't for me, maybe I could try an alternative, etc. The day came when the office called me to set up my first infusion appointment. Next thing I know the day was here for me to go in.

When I got to the infusion center I brought my iPad, my mom, and a book. It take almost 3 hours to infuse! I didn't know they were going to give me Benadryl which pretty much knocked me out the rest of the day so the iPad and the book weren't needed. They started the iv and 2 1/2 hours later I was good to go. Within 24 hours all my symptoms were gone and have been gone ever since! I had my second infusion last weekend and then I go again in April. I have heard that a lot of people do not react the same way, I feel very lucky. I feel like I am back to the normal girl I was 3 years ago!

I have had some side effects however, fatigue, skin rash, weakness, and nausea. The drug suppresses my immune system so I can get sick very easily.

Where Have I Been?

Wow it has been a long time since I last posted! I have been a very unmotivated lady when it comes to blogging so I put this blog on the back burner for a few months.

We spent the holidays in Ohio with my new in-laws :) It was very nice weather, no snow, but it was warm enough we got to spend some time outside with our niece and nephew playing with their new toys and even getting to go for a tractor ride (thanks to Andys dad!)

January I was able to go back to work after being on a medical leave since November. It is so great to be back at work and having somewhere to get up and go to everyday! Unfortunately my colitis struck again and I landed back in the hospital for a couple days. Turns out my colitis had become so severe I decided to switch GI doctors to help me find the right treatment. Now, a couple weeks later I am in remission and I feel like my body is back to normal!! I will address the treatment in my next post.

Andy and I have decided that we will be moving back to Florida by September this year. I am so excited and I can't wait to be back home but I will miss so many things about this place. It is just way too expensive to purchase a home here, we want to continue living by the beach and we don't have the millions of dollars to do so! Also, my parents will be moving back a little while after we do so we will all be together. I can't wait to start the next chapter of our lives by moving, purchasing a home, and having little curly haired beach babies!

Secret Santa

I participated in my first Secret Santa through blogging and it was sooo much fun!

My present came from the lovely Ashley :)

Ashley are you psychic? These goodies are all me and I love all of them!!!! I have been wanting to buy a new note pad because I can never find one when I need to jot something down! Thank you so much for my gifts :)

I got to play Secret Santa to Mae. Make sure to visit her page to see what I sent her!

I hope all of you have a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS. Since I will be leaving for Ohio tomorrow I will be MIA for a week or two :)

It has been awhile!

Sorry for my absence in the blogging world the past couple of weeks! We did not think we were going to be able to fly back to Ohio for the holidays this year but ticket prices finally went down :) I have just been so busy shopping and making gifts that I haven't had time for anything else it seems!

Tomorrow night we leave for Ohio, which is where the hubby is from. He has such a huge family so we are very excited to see everyone! He has 3 brothers and 1 sister, I was the only child so spending Christmas with a big family is so much fun for me now that I am older. The love that family has for each other is amazing, I don't think any of them have ever fought or said anything negative about each other in their whole life and I LOVE that. It doesn't hurt that it might be a WHITE Christmas this year as well. Sometimes getting away from the hustle and bustle of this big city is all we need.

I wanted to share with y'all some of the presents I made for my friends :)

This is for my BFF if you couldn't tell ;) I cut the states and the quote out using my handy Silhouette machine.
Now I am obsessed with monogrammed EVERYTHING! Does anyone else love it as much as I do?

So California has been having rain the past couple of weeks, I am not complaining because rain brings snow to our local mountains. We drove up to Mt. High for the day yesterday for our first newlywed snowboarding session. The conditions were perfect! Thank you mother nature. But I did have a pretty bad fall towards the end yesterday so getting out of bed today was a little rough!
